The Opportunity

TYR is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead AI-enabled business transformation initiatives for our clients. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience leading discrete workstreams within projects, thrives on driving organizational change and redesigning business processes, and communicates effectively with client stakeholders and subject matter experts. They should also be effective at working with AI tools and at training others to adopt them, providing intentional, high-quality input that improves program efficacy. Good consultants bring strong analytical skills; great consultants pair those intellectual capabilities with strong interpersonal skills. The consultants we’re looking for go a step further—they thrive under the sustained demands of frequent travel while remaining personable and effective with clients, and while helping sustain morale and relationships within their own team.

This role focuses on leading client AI-enabled transformation efforts and organizational adoption. It does not involve designing, developing, or engineering AI systems. Instead, Project Managers will collaborate with TYR’s technical specialists to deliver successful client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise AI transformation initiatives from planning through execution.

• Manage multiple workstreams.

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets; track milestone achievement; and mitigate project risk.

• Communicate effectively with client stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical resources, and AI systems.

• Assess the client’s current state and collaborate with client teams to redesign workflows that improve efficiency and technology adoption.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including client stakeholders, technical resources, and other TYR consultants.

• Facilitate workshops, executive presentations, and change management activities to support successful project outcomes.

• Develop and oversee high-quality project deliverables, ensuring they meet client requirements, project objectives, and TYR’s standards.

• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives in a thoughtful, inclusive, and humanistic manner.

• Travel to client sites as required to support project delivery and executive engagement.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working on complex business transformation initiatives in consulting, professional services, or a comparable client-facing environment.

• 3+ years in a project leadership role.

• Demonstrated experience working directly with client stakeholders and senior leadership, as well as with large enterprises, such as Fortune 500 organizations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, accurately, and persuasively to diverse audiences, including executive stakeholders, subject matter experts, and client teams.

• Familiarity with organizational change management and workflow redesign.

• Strong project management and PMO skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as behavioral science/psychology, computer/data science, or engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI-enabled business solutions or technology transformation initiatives.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

• This opportunity is offered as a 1099 independent contractor engagement.

• Compensation ranges from $100–$200+/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, responsibilities, and engagement scope.

• Engagements are staffed on a project-by-project basis and are not guaranteed for a specific duration or number of hours.

• Approved travel expenses incurred during client engagements are reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

• Full-time employment opportunities may be offered to high-performing consultants.

Hiring Process

Candidates may be asked to participate in an initial screening conversation followed by one or more interviews with TYR Partners team members. Depending on the engagement and role, the process may also include a project-based discussion, case exercise, or conversation with relevant technical or client-facing team members.
