The Opportunity

TYR is seeking experienced Senior Consultants to support AI-enabled business transformation initiatives for our clients. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience supporting discrete workstreams within projects, thrives on driving organizational change and redesigning business processes, and communicates effectively with client stakeholders and subject matter experts. They should also be effective at working with AI tools and at training others to adopt them, providing intentional, high-quality input that improves program efficacy. Good consultants bring strong analytical skills; great consultants pair those intellectual capabilities with strong interpersonal skills. The consultants we’re looking for understand the sustained demands of frequent travel while remaining personable and effective with clients, and while helping sustain morale and relationships within their own team.

This role focuses on supporting client AI-enabled transformation efforts and organizational adoption. It does not involve designing, developing, or engineering AI systems. Instead, Senior Consultants will collaborate with TYR’s technical specialists to deliver successful client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support enterprise AI transformation initiatives from planning through execution.

• Communicate effectively with client stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical resources, and AI systems.

• Assess existing business operations and collaborate with client teams to redesign workflows that improve efficiency and technology adoption.

• Participate in cross-functional team workshops.

• Conduct research, data compilation, and analysis, including defining data metrics and requirements to support specific analytics.

• Build and maintain databases (e.g., SQL Server) and work with clients to compile data.

• Develop high-quality project deliverables—financial models, analytics, project status reports, workshop supporting materials, process flow diagrams, executive presentations, etc.—ensuring they meet client requirements, project objectives, and TYR’s standards.

• Contribute to a thoughtful, inclusive, and humanistic team culture.

• Travel to client sites as required to support project delivery and executive engagement.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on complex business transformation initiatives in consulting, professional services, or a comparable client-facing environment.

• Includes a minimum of 8–10 projects/implementations across multiple phases (analytics and implementation).

• Demonstrated experience working directly with client stakeholders and senior leadership, as well as with large enterprises, such as Fortune 500 organizations.

• Strong analytical and pattern-recognition skills, with the ability to identify underlying causes and connect them to broader business outcomes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, accurately, and persuasively to diverse audiences, including executive stakeholders, subject matter experts, and client teams.

• Familiarity with organizational change management and workflow redesign.

• Strong team skills, including collaboration, flexibility, and supportiveness, along with strong interpersonal, adaptive, and culturally sensitive judgment and situational awareness.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as behavioral science/psychology, computer/data science, or engineering.

• Outstanding spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation skills, with strong data-analytic capabilities (Microsoft or Google tools).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing AI technology and business transformation in a Fortune 500 company.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

• This opportunity is offered as a 1099 independent contractor engagement.

• Compensation ranges from $80–$180+/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, responsibilities, and engagement scope.

• Engagements are staffed on a project-by-project basis and are not guaranteed for a specific duration or number of hours.

• Approved travel expenses incurred during client engagements are reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

• Full-time employment opportunities may be offered to high-performing consultants.

Hiring Process

Candidates may be asked to participate in an initial screening conversation followed by one or more interviews with TYR Partners team members. Depending on the engagement and role, the process may also include a project-based discussion, case exercise, or conversation with relevant technical or client-facing team members. Selected consultants will be considered for specific client engagements based on their experience, skills, and project requirements.
